AI assistance (expert mode)

AI assistance appears only in expert mode, and only if your institution has enabled the AI features. Your institution also decides which model is used behind the scenes — it may well be a locally hosted one. The AI supports you, it doesn't replace anything: every suggestion is optional, and you always decide for yourself what to use.

While creating

  • Suggest distractors — plausible wrong answers for choice questions. Example: you type in the question and the correct answer; the AI adds convincing distractors that you can accept or discard one by one.
  • Rephrase question — clearer or shorter versions of your question.
  • Generate questions from document — via From document in the set, from PDF, PowerPoint (PPTX) or LibreOffice (ODP). Example: you upload your slides, pick a question level, and the AI suggests single-choice, multiple-choice and free-text questions.

During the presentation

You switch these features on per question in the editor (Enable AI features or the question's AI toggles); on the projector you reach them via the star on the right-hand edge. Details are in Presenting.

  • Optimize word cloud — merge spelling variants and synonyms, group by topic.
  • Optimise mind map — merge duplicate terms, unify the language, restructure; with a preview before anything is applied.
  • Group matrix cards — stack identical or similar cards under a summary card.
  • Evaluate free text (live) — automatically sort open answers into 2–5 categories of your choice, grade them against a model solution, or condense them into key statements. If you like, each person sees the evaluation of their own answer.

When evaluating

  • Create short report — a compact summary of the results on the results page.

Privacy note

When evaluating free text, optimizing a word cloud, mind map or matrix, and creating a short report, the answers (not the people) are sent to your institution's AI service. Use these features with appropriate care. More on this under Privacy.
